I included a 7c trombone mouthpiece with it but i prefer the sound of a trumpet mouthpiece so feel free to use any other mouthpieces.

This model is really light and won't use a lot of filament.

A bit of history :

The upright serpent, also known as the "serpent à vent debout" in French, is a type of wind instrument that was popular in the 18th and 19th centuries. It is a large, curved, brass instrument with a wide, flared bell and a mouthpiece that is similar to that of a modern brass instrument.

The upright serpent was developed as an improvement on the original serpent, which was a smaller, curved instrument that had limited range and projection. By making the instrument larger and adding a flared bell, musicians were able to produce a more powerful sound and play more complex music.

The upright serpent was often used in military bands and church music, where its deep, rich sound was particularly well-suited for accompanying large choirs or congregations. However, the instrument fell out of favor in the mid-19th century as other wind instruments, such as the tuba and the bassoon, became more popular.
